I stole the photosz!!

Meh...my camera isn't working as it supposed to and I really wanted to make a post. So all the photos in this post are not mine!! I'll give a link/courtesy of the owner below the photos, but I wanted to share good stuff with you :)

First...I'd like to share my latest Konad plate with you sweeties. The first time I saw this plate it was on Spellbinding Nails , and I fell in love instant actually. It has sweet birds, cupcake/ice-cream/candy, a little animal and stars!!

image from www.konad.co.uk

Look at that!! The only problem was..ordering it :S That was a real pain. Several internet shop UK based used to have it, but all were sold out, even on Amazon. I ordered it through the same shop as where I found the image from and the price incl shipping costs ended at about 20euros...yes for 1 image plate. That's..like...insane!! But I am glad I have it in my collection ;)

Second... I have a couple of new polishes yay!!! With big help from my sister in law :) She was in London for a couple of days and she texted me if I wanted something. She was too kind, cause she brought back Illamasqua Scorn & Baptiste, Nails Inc Whitehall (magnetic) and Filthy Gorgeous Got the Blues (magnetic). As I babysitted my little cousin last Saterday I was given the polishes and I'm sooo happy. ( not only did I get the polishes, but she gave me a new haircut as well, she's a hairdesigner. I had an amazing day!! )  The colors are gorgeous and I hope to show my own photos real soon!

Right now I'm wearing Illamasque Scorn. I used Konad Q1 to stamp the birdies on both my thumbs and the other 8 fingers have Konad M57 leopard. As for the stampingpolish I used China Glaze Poetic...which I think is one of the best stamping polish from my own polishes!! I should try get other shades from that collestion :)

lovely holo :)

Let me start of with a little disaster :S

Just as we began this new year I thought..wow would it be nice to own some more Catherine Arley polishes..like the other 10 I don't have yet. I have emailed the supplier before but never got an answer to my questions and as time passed by and no attention from my side it just slipped away in a little forget corner of my mind. But looking at some other bloggers and their collections I reaallly wanted the other holos from that brand!! As I was searching the internetshop of what I think is the only selling point online for those CA holos...I found out it 2 numbers weren't even available anymore amagad!!!! The horror ggrrr... I did get my hands on 8...but for some reason I know I'll be hunting down the last 2 :(  Soo if someone wants to sell me those..or knows where to get them pwettie pls let me know ;) (nr 802 & 803)

As i was preparing my nails..cuticle remover etc etc pampering myself :) I picked out one of the "new" colors and BANGGGG....I was almost in tears.. well not literally bang, but check the bottle as I unscrewed the cap....there is no brush in the cap!!!

Now how awful is that! :S I did receive my money back for this bottle and got a cleaned old Seche Vite cap and placed it on, so actually there is no real spillage...all is left in the original bottle...but it sucks when things like this happen boehoeee.

Now onto the fun part :)

This ia an amazing blue scattereed holo from Ozoti Pro (nr 617) from my latest swap with sweet Michelle from Cosmetic Cupcake.

I looove it :) as I mentioned before with nr 521...these polishes really glide on your nail. It's some sort of super quality! Sparkles, shines and stays on for so long. I lub it!!

First of all...welcome to all new followers!! Enjoy your stay here ;)

there are only 3 days left to enter my 1st **Give-Away**

I'll start of with some a-ma-zing glitsorsz! China Glaze -Skyscraper. It's from CG latest collection, but I'm pretty you have all seen it somewhere. A lovely blue/silver glitter in a blue base. Now this is what you call a perfect glitter!!! Complete cover in just 2 thin layers, dries fast and lasted for 4 days without any tipwear, perrrrfect if you ask me.

double OPI

I always think it`s a waste to use up glitter polishes. most I own really need 3...some even 4 layers to make it all nice shiney all full of glitters. As I`ve seen on many other blogs, this was actually quite handy ofc. First take a polish which is somewhat similar to the colors of glitters and then top it with 1 or 2 layers of glitters. That way you can still have the same color, but with less glitter polish ;)

In this photo I`m wearing 1 layer of Yodel Me on My Cell covered with 2 thin layers of Last Friday night, both by OPI

Catrice - Enter Wonderland LE

 This Catrice LE was available last week in my local Kruitvat...but it`s a good thing I took em all cause as usual...it's all sold out now :S Boehoee, and they have a wonderful sale buy 1 get 1 free, and they don't stock up :)

1 Forbidden Apple
2 Lavevenderlicious
3 Wonderland Green Card
4 Miracle Heaven

I'm showing you nr 3 Wonderland Green Card. In the picture I`m actually having 1 layer sandwiched between a bc and tc, and it looked very good!! Tbh a second layer of color wouldn't be necessary.

It`s a fresh bright green, which I'll be wearinga lot I think! Would love to try out some stamping on it....and with it!

Catrice - Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans

One of 3 latest Catrice colors ( other would be; Run Forest Run! and Absolutly Chinchilly! ) and I think this is my favorite for now :) As you can see in the bottle it has a tiny shimmer...but I couldn`t find any on my nail :S Perhaps I need glasses hehe. I do love the color of blue, it`s a bit of a warm blue. I can use it with some Konad on it, or add some glitters ( in the photo below ) or just leave it plain this color. I did apply 2 coats, but if you work it well 1 layer would be sufficient as well, very thick pigmented substance. I like it!!

I added a little layer of China Glaze - Dollhouse to the blue Catrice, to spice it up a bit. I love the pink big glimmer and glamour all over my nails this way. And since they`re rather short it doesn`t look trashy at all :)

Off to some serious cookie-baking now!! I`m going to decorate cookies with a 2,5 year old in 3 hours :) ( she`s not mine btw )

stamping with Herome plates

Essence - Forever Mine stamped with one of teh "flower" collection/set from herome with Konads white. I used a Claire`s striper in silver to color the inner dot of the flowers...can hardly see it. Topped it with Seche ofc. For some reason Martje and Konad color don`t work very well....I always wait a little before using a topcoat, yet still the colors get a little runny :S A well more excercise!! None the less I like this combo :)

Koh - Blue Universe

Booeehoeee :( 2 days ago one of my lamps of my photo boot broke :S so now I`m taking pictures with partially yellow lights...as in my entire town there are no Cyan coated light bulbs. 1 day ago my pc had to be filtered from nasty spam, trojans and worms...another bleugh. And today I got totally soaking wet when i cycled to work...

But I was wearing my new Koh polish called Blue Universe. I hope you can see a little through the yellow light, cause I was in shock when I bought the bottle. I love this color a lot!! It`s a dark deep blue with lots of silver glitters in it aaanndd pink colored flakies!! Great combo :) I love Koh polishes, only need 2 layers of polish and topped it with Seche Vite.

S-he + a little BM with For Audrey

A while ago I had a swap and ow boy do I love the polishes I received ;)

In these pictures I`m using  S-he 427, 2 layers over China Glaze Strong Adhesion BaseCoat. After a couple of days I want to try out a little Konading...actually using the Bundle Monster plates. I tried it out with one of the China Glaze holos, He`s Going In Circles...but it didn`t apear over the pink :) It would have looked nice over a creme ink or other creme base, but not over S-he 427. A little frustrated as I really wanted to see some stamping over this polish I dug deep in my Helmer and got For Audrey...wow!! The 2nd picture doesn`t really bring out that feeling I had seeing it RL :) It was so so cool!! A great compination for the soft pink holo comnibed with the in my opinion soft creme minty color. I will try out some more stamping with these 2.

Essence - Denim Wanted! collection

Tadaaa...I just had amazing fun :) I thought it would be nice to show you all the entire collection of Essence-Denim Wanted!

These are the 5 polishes that are included in the collection; 01 High Waist pink, 02 I love My jeans, 03 My Boyfriend`s Jeans, 04 Forever Mine and 05 Fivepocket Grey.

01, is more of a coral pink/reddish, extremely strikey, I think 3 layers would be needed to get a nice opaque color.

02, is not entirely black, it has a little silverish shimmer in it. Though you can see that better in the bottle itself then when you apply it.

03, this is what I would call a jeans/denim blue, deep rich color.

04, hmm I`m not sure about this. I`ve read it on someone else`s blog and she mentioned...not seen this color before...I think I share that opinion. It`s almost a neon blue, don`t dislike it, just have to get used to it :)

05, an absolute grey grey...rather a dull grey if you ask me. I wouldn`t wear it like this, I`d Konad a nice purple or red on it, this is too dull for me :)

Nevertheless...5 bottles for about 8.95euros not bad!! Except the pink, the colors glide onto your nails and 2 layers are enough, 02 is okay using just 1 layer!!

P2 haul :)

Last monday I went to Kleve, Germany, which is about 45 minutes drive from where I live. I sometimes go there by myself, but most of the times with a friend. When I was growing up, my parents went there as well, so I`ve been there loooadss of times now. The reason we go there is food shopping and make-up/body products. They have such different products available there and most prices are lower then "ours". For instance, baking products for pies and cakes, waaaayyy more different items available. Cake flavours, toppings, fillings etc etc.

Anyway...we also went to the drugstore called DM and I did some major P2 shopping :) They finally had P2`s cotton gloves, they`re always sold out when I go to the store :S , can use those when you have some nice cremes on and want to leave them on during the night. I bought their Quick Dry Spray as well, wanted to try it out, haven`t heard anyone about it yet. And ofc I "needed"  some color polishes as well ;)

*191 gigantic, a rich creme blue
* 248 rich,a deep purple with shimmers
* 249 dangerous, a teal creme
* 208 rich& royal, a taupe...perhaps mauve..nice color :)
* 207 stormy, a nudy beige with tiny shimmer
* matte topcoat

I`ll try to make some photo`s of these colors as well soon :)

OPI Ink + Viva la Nails

Today after painting the frames and doors I was ready to paint my nails. I had OPI-Ink laying around for a while now and I really wanted to try out some Viva la Nails items as well.

Started with a layer of Sally Hansens doubly duty, 2 layers of OPI - Ink, topped it with SecheVite. Love OPI - Ink, can`t say it`s blue nor purple, it shimmers all over my nails . I took my little nail-art helper from Essence and dipped it in sallys double duty and created a little line on my index and middle finger. Then dipped it in the little nailart box filled with green tiny pearl, they only got stuck to the line ofc. ( I bought a little nailart box from Essence as well, and stuffed the 8 compartments with the Viva la Nail bags as I didn`t find it handy to work with an open bag ) After a little while I thought it would be dry and I wanted to 'seal"  the pearls in by layering yet another coat of double duty....pls never do so, cause the green paint of the pearls isn`t consistent and will fade off leaving a green brush :S So that was a lesson for next time. luckily I saw it in time and didn`t dip the brush pack in again. the little pink "tears" on the other 2 fingers were easy-peasy to stick on.

On my thumb I`ve used a little fimocane creation, which wasn`t part of the blog-package, but I ordered it as well since I wanted to try those out. I pre-cut almost half the cane into thin slices. Again I used a drip of double duty to "glue"  the butterfly to my nail and after a while I topped it with an entire layer.

I`ll make sure I have some real nail art glue next time, the waiting for Sally to dry took longer then i suspected it would. Overal it was done within 40 minutes still and I do like the result. If it`s really working for me ...I truelly things so, but tomorrow is an extreme test since we need to finish the painting bleugh...

Oh and btw...the iodine and bandage on my thumb were not part of my nailart experience ;) I was a little rough with cleaning my hands with terpentine after painting.

My happy feet

These are ofc my toes :) And this is the first picture i`m showing of my paint-art, havent posted any nails yet, just the bottles thus far. As you can see in my previous post I love wearing my Birki's, but I always polish my toes! Wouldn't it look just dull is they were au naturel?! I like wearing a silly tshirt, or more eye-shadow then normal or indeed funny nails to work, makes it all a bit more bareable to get through the day ;) Neehh it's not that bad, but since I often get stories and backgrounds about peoples diseases, you sometimes need a little extra to get people smile back at you.

Back to the polish ;)

 If I really wanna give myself a nice "treat" I start with a foothbath and use an exfolliant creme ( Vichy Podexine- kerato reducing scrub) to get rid of the callus of my feet, I like using the products of Vichy Podexine (specially for feet)  for it. When I've planned to polish my nails I don't immediatly apply a moisturiser, otehrwise polish won't get "grip".

After feet dried, I first use Nfu Oh's cuticle remover cause the skin is nice soft now. Quickly dip my toes back in the bath to get rid of the excess gunk and remover...

In the toe-picture I've used;

 *  Sally Hansen-double duty....I love this as a base-coat
 *  2 layers of China-Glaze-For Audry 625
 *  for the silver stripes I used a freestyle/tip painter by Essence
 *  on the 2 big toes I've added little nail jewels, also by Essence
 * finished it with another layer of Sally's double duty

And the finish it aaaalll, when the polish was dry I used a rich layer of Vichys preventing dry feet ( Vichy Podexine-Reconstruant pieds secs).

there you go....happy feet :)

The face shop

During our fabulous honeymoon trip in Thailand we did visit some "normal" shops as well.We had seen most markets and touristic sale points at the end of the trip. And we didn't wanted to buy fake watches or shirts at all and at some point we'd lost total interest in those sellers, we wanted to se something different...and we`re dieing to get a little arco as well since the weather was 40 degrees celcius all the time. Don't get me wrong here, not saying we disrespect the sellers at all. It was the agressive sellers that followed you around from corner to corner, which were loads in Krabi and Phuket. Smaller cities like Hua Hin, Chiang Mai and even Bangkok people are so extremely friendly.

When we arrived in Phuket there were some western-like malls and one of them in the old part, Robinson, we wanetd to visit since even the locals and taxi-drivers wanted to take us there. It was one huge department store, not even a mall :)  As I would never fit in the petite thai clothing sizes I ended up in the make-up department and wow...I got amazed by the wide range of nailpolishes they sell. 1 brand caught my eye immedaitly, The face shop. Their products are organic (there is a little leave-image on top of the brush), free to try in the shop and extremely cheap!! Don't know if it was thai standerd, but to my standerds 0,75euro is cheap:) As we were on a trip and couldn't just buy everything we want since the lack of space in our bags I thought 5 bottles would be okayish. I still regret not buying more. I ended up with therse 5;

YL701; a golden sheer foil, wouldnt call it yellow though.
BL601 ;a blue multiglitter in blue base
BL603; a blue shimmer...I couldnt get te entire sticker off, so teh bottle looks a bit silly sowwie :)
BR802; a nude sheer shimmer
PP408; a purplecreme

All polishes, except the glitter one, do tend to be half transparant. Defo needs 3 layers to make it a nice consistent color.

**ooeeehh I`ll soon make a post of the bags I bought during the trip ;) All fabric handbags by a brand called NaRaYa

China Glaze

625 For Audrey, A creamy blue, almost like the color Tiffanies uses on their gift boxes. An ode to Audrey Hepburn since she played in the movie Breakfast at Tiffanies. Just like al creme polishes....I really have to sit down and take my time to apply it neatly or I'll make a mess out of it hehe, love the color!

182 Ruby Pumps, Tbh...haven't used this one yet. I still have my extremly long acrylic nails, which will be taken off next week. And I don't like red colors on long nails. So I'm waiting for the right size to use it, the color in the jar does make me smile and makes me think or Dorethys clicky-the-click shoes!

687 Poetic, a soft metallic which builds up "strength"  by multiple layers...I like it 1 layered though, a nice soft metallic layer.

839 Dollhouse,YES..this screaammsss. This is glitter extravaganzzaa. Huge pink glitters which add up nicely layer after layer. Can almost put on my lipstick when looking at my nail with several layers. But as I mentioned before...a pain to get it off, any suggestions please let me know!

796 Bad Kitty, Just the name itself....wow. It has a slight pink clear base, and its stuffed with pink toned multi-glitters. love it!!

OPI

Give Me the Moon!, iridiscent a bit blueish/greyish. Just like white polishes I dont really like this one with many layers. just 1 neat layer will do. Or when i use it on my toes it can be 2 or 3 layers :)

Mad as a Hatter, glitter, glitter, glitter :) This polish makes me very happy. I love glittery polsihes and I ad as many layers as my nail can handle...or as long as they will dry really. Worst thing about glittery-polish..is the removing it :S If anyone has some nice tips, please let me know! I always end up soaking my nails some tissues drenched in remover.

OPI

DS-diamond,  a holographic violet/purple finish. Defo needs 2 or 3 layers. and preferable a special base coat for holo's.

DS-signatur, a holographic pink/mauve. Havent used this color yet :) but I`m almost certain it will be like DS-diamond.

Yokohama-collectie Baby Blue, a nice iridiscent that flashes between blue and gold, very very nice!! Couldnt get it at Transdesign since its a collection that only came out in Japan and Australia. Dollupnails sells them, nice fast delivery and very friendly people.

Yokohama-collectie Cherry Blossom, a nice cherry-clossom pink that looks a lot ike Princess Rule! yet this one is more coral, whilest Princess is more pinkish. I must admit the name of the color triggered my mind, since I used the Cherry Blossom theme a lot on my wedding day :) Still a very nice color which not a lot of people yet have.
