cheap shopping!!

Sometimes you face cheap-shopping days and since they don't appear that often you should really enjoy them ;) By cheap-shopping I mean use discounts wisely or even some gift certificates...

I started at Douglas, cause they had a special offer from Herôme. If you would spend €8 on any Herôme products you coud pick out a free gift out of 3 things. I bought a new nail hardener cause my own was already started running out. The package I picked had a free glassfile worth €9,95 and I got to pick my free gift, I picked out Exit Damaged Nails Serum (an oil based product) worth €12,50.

I went to the Bodyshop cause I was there earlier that week but I couldn't find anything suitable...I became a member (for a year) which costs a membership of €10, but with the card they provide you they give a 10% discount on items you buy that year, and every €20 you spend you get points...depending on the amount of points you've saved up you can get a pressent yay!! AAaannd you can pick something out worth €10 (or more but get the €10 discount) in the month of your bday. Which for me is September. I picked out their BBcream nr 2, which I ended up paying €0,35 for ;) Not using it yet as I just started one of my Asian BBcreams.

Then I went to Etos cause I had a €15 bday giftcertificate...and I knew they had a special discount on all make-up brands. Buy 2 get 25% discount. Which I was happy about, I already picked out 2 items but I couldn't choose between them, and now I could buy them both paying a small amount extra. I picked out Maybelline Color Tattoo On and on Bronze nr 35 and Maybelline popstick Crystal Pink  nr 040. I ended up paying €1,10 extra.

I did a little Primark shopping as well and was getting pretty exhausted :S So I just took the train back home....finding in my mail...a little gift from Maybelline..yay. I didn't thought I would win, but I joined in on a FaceBook competition and I won Color Tattoo Immortal Charcoal nr 55.

A week earlier I received this package from Koh (from another FaceBook competition);

I received my favorite color Funky! along with a mini moisturiser, a mini polish remover, long lasting basecoat and a sheet with stickers with their entire collection. The sheet can be used to create your own wishlist so your partner, friends or familie can easily go to the shop pick up your favorite colors :)

The Revlon colorburst Lip butters in the first picture...they don't actually count to the cheapshopping day...I bought them at Evulbay.

As you can see I piked out Berry Smoothie and Sweet Tart.....and I love em!!! They glide onto your lips, give a nice feeling all day and the pigmentation is just enough. Somewhere between a lipgloss and a lipstick...butter is the perfect word :)

Koh get in the Mood!

I`ve read about these new little Koh-kits on someone elses blog, and I already did a little happy dance inside cause this would be something I would really hunt down the shops for :) Sometimes when special editions are being released, it just feels good to be part of the ones, the group, who actually poses the certain item mhuahaha....and yes it`s a terrible feeling if you don`t succeed in your hunt boehoee :(

Koh would release small boxes, filled with 1 polish from their Limited Edition Koh Mood Tones! and a color matching shawl aside....ooeehhh now who doesn`t want that?!

A couple of days ago I was shopping in the Hague and came acros a DA (dutch drugstore) and they had an amazing sale; 25% discount on all the make-up brands. As we went in, my friend pointed me the Koh stand...she knows I`ve grown quite an obsession with polishes by now :) Suprisingly they sold the Mood Tones! kits as well, I would`ve thought they would only sell at their flagship store or on their internet-shop.

Ofc I had to leave the shop with at least 1 package, have to use such a discount or it would be a waste. I picked out Dignified, as I loved the soft pink/soft lilac color. I will use the shawl as a headband, Unfortunatly I won`t be using the polish for a while...cause I have so many other polishes I want to try out first :S

little Amsterdam haul O_o

Ooeehh what a rainy day on Thuesday...luckely I had the day off. I already made some plans of going to Amsterdam by train ( which is just a little over an hour from here ) and visite some shops that I like. So no comic or electronic shops....just beauty shops :) Even though sale has started, I wasn`t in need of clothes or shoes...couldn't even get tempted to visit those shops...I just had fun among the beauty products :)

First stop was the Koh - flagship store at Bijenkorf...wow they have such nice/friendly staff, the corner always looks very tidy and you feel very welcome and helped. I went home with Essential nail serum, 131 Glamourous Purple! and a bag filled with their lovely samples which included; bath powder sensation, body scrub sensation, body oil sensation, shower foam sensation and cream soap sensation. I heared and read so many good things about these items, specially about the oil. You lit it like a candle and when it turn liquid you can use it as a warm oil to rub on your body...has an amazing scent as well...ooeehh can't wait to try this! They added a little black clutch/bag as promotiongift, I'm sure that'll come out handy!!

Next stop was Lush. Just before xmas my hubby asked me to make a small whishlist cause he had some money "left"  on our budget. I gave him some nice tips and hints and I got amazing presents, but some of those items still circled around in my head :S And visint A'dam I just had to take a visit to Lush as it only has about 5 shops in entire Holland. I picked up 2 kinds of lipscrubs; Lip Dip which has hints of lemon and cranberry and Bubblegum...speaks for itself. What's so funny about this stuff is after you've applied and scrubbed...you just lick your lips and put on some lipbalm. It really works!! I've only used Lip Dip several times now, and I've got such smooooth lips :) I picked out R & B as well, it's a leave in conditioner for your hair. Never heared of it, but as I opened the jar just to smell it, wow I fell in love! I' m gonna try it out tomorrow ;) Picked out these goodies came to a certai amount of euros I was allowed to pick out a goddie from what was left over from the xmas selling at Lush. I asked what the difference was between all...but most contained bathbombing thingies....we don't own a bath :S But!!! Soon I'm going on a tiny weekend away to Brussels and we have a bathroom with bath weeewooo, so i can test em out there ;)

Last but not least I went to several drugstores and scored Pupas nail art kit in silver/purple...ooeehh even got it on discount. My first trip ven to Make Up Store got me a lovely holographic olish called Madeleine, it looks like a pinkish beige. I'll try to make some photo's of it soon. I was lucky to get OPI's Glam Slam set....I don't need the Black Shatter and will keep it aside for a **Give-Away** or a swap as I have a black IsaDora and a Barry M crackle polish. My Konad order came in as well, yay. I have quite small and short nails. So a normal stamp is too big most of the time, which result in the images not being stamped at same spot :S I was wodnering if the two way stamp would work better...soon to find out!! And I got 2 lovely plates as well; M66 & M70  :)

That a lovely Me-day for me, filled with rain and a blister...and stuffed bags :) I will make sure to draw the winner of my latest **Give-Away** before the end of this weekend, and I`ll place up a new **Give-Away** as well!!

Wipe It Away part 2

Attempt 2 to use the Koh - Wipe It Away, and it was a very succesful attempt. Wearing the blue mani indeed had 2 toap coats and several layers of polish as well, so it`s was just a too thick layer to get through. This try I had 2 layers of Koh polish on after applyine the Wipe It Away I used a piece of tissue to get it off, which was just 1 try for each nail. The entire polish came off!! This is an excellent product when you`re in a rush or even vacation. Perhaps even on the train!! If leaves no smell like some polish removers can do. The formula is quite thick like a normal polish so no runny liquid. My nails and cuticles didn`t feel dry after using it either...they were just as dry as always :) I had a tiny wound on one of my cuticles and the formula didn`t leave a tingling/biting feeling either.

2 thumbs up for this product!!! Available in the Netherlands with Douglas stores, Koh flagshipstore in Amsterdam and on their webshop. Price is 19,95euros for 10ml.

Koh - Wipe It Away!

I was soooo happy when i got my Koh-kit as a subscription pressie. Really wanted to try it out, but for some reason I sort of forgot the bottle :S until I opend the bottom drawer of my Helmer...tadaaaa there it was.

This was my first try, and i must admit I was a bit disapointed. The leaflet cleared out you needed to apply it just nailpolish, just a layer on top, wait about 10secs. and wipe it off. Now it also cleared out that if you`d used a topcoat it would be more difficult to get off...well results show indeed haha. Ofc I use my Seche Vite, how can I not.

So it was merely first attempt, I wonder what it`ll do if I wear just 2 layers of polish..no fancy topcoat, I`ll show some pics if that happens :)

Koh - Blue Universe

Booeehoeee :( 2 days ago one of my lamps of my photo boot broke :S so now I`m taking pictures with partially yellow lights...as in my entire town there are no Cyan coated light bulbs. 1 day ago my pc had to be filtered from nasty spam, trojans and worms...another bleugh. And today I got totally soaking wet when i cycled to work...

But I was wearing my new Koh polish called Blue Universe. I hope you can see a little through the yellow light, cause I was in shock when I bought the bottle. I love this color a lot!! It`s a dark deep blue with lots of silver glitters in it aaanndd pink colored flakies!! Great combo :) I love Koh polishes, only need 2 layers of polish and topped it with Seche Vite.

My Amsterdam haul :)

Last Saterday I went to Amsterdam with my hubbie. As I already know he isn`t a big shopper, at least not in the shops I like to visit, I set my mind on only a few shops i just had to to go and the rest was just fun and relax and we`ll see where it leads us to.

First we went to some comicbook shops where even i bought some items :S A nice issue of a Tank Girl comic...I truelly like those, I even liked the movie starring Lori Petty as the girl :) And I bought a Baby Qee..now this is rather difficult to explain so I`ll just. I buy the white/not yet decorated ones cause I like to get all creative on these. One of my favorite creations; painting one mat black and using a nice shimmering white to draw/write my favorite passage from Romeo & Juliet on it :) front and back btw.

Enough creativity...on to the amazing purchases weeewooo...

I sooo wanted to stop bij a huge department store called Bijenkorf, cause I know A`dam Bijenkorf has a flagship thingy of Koh...the dutch polish :) Omg..it was all heaven, the people there were soo sweet, and I had my hubbie waiting on a chair so i thought I shouldn`t make it too long, but in the end I think I did cause I couldn`t choose between the omg 120something colors. Should have taken pictures of it haha!! This is what I`ve bought;

Actually the pacted everything apart in nice bags, and even added some small gifts like a box to keep your rings in and a mini polish remover. They had some amazing offers; a box filled with 3 polishes matt black, a golden one and a color booster for 29.95 instead 59euros...but I wasn`t 100% sure if I`d use all those. The other offer was 1x color booster ( I already have 1 but hey can live with another), 1x Koh matte and 1 color of choice as well for 29,99 instead 59euros. And they had a nice box to pick 18 colors and pay something like 170 euros...but neh I didn`t need those in a million years haha. I had picked 2 colors I`d really liked and wanted the special matt box filled with 1 color of choice and the other one seperate. The cashier packed it all nice and I was really really happy...untill I opend it all at home :S The color that was placed in my 3 bottles offer special wasn`t the color I had picked. The girl was so nice and were so talk active she might have switched numbers cause she put 171 in in and not 117 aaarrghh, by the time I found out I was at home, which is 1,5hours away ( train ticket costs 25euros bleugh ) i emailed the shop with the problem, asking them how we can solve this problem, but I will hear of them within 3 days...sooo still waiting...big bummer :(  :(  I don`t really blame the girl, she was very friendly, but I like to see this taken care off. ( so I wanted 117 which is Smokey Violet, but got 171 instead which is Funky! and the other one is a flakie called 177 Blue Universe )

And i went to the MAC store..where the service was crap :) I asked one of the girls working there for advice on eyeshadows, saying I wanted something else then my purples I always use, I wanted a little extra, a little daredevil. Bah she didn`t gave any hints or tips at all, so I just ended up picking my own color which I love!! It`s called Contrast, a blue/purple yet very dark and has a bit of a velvery structure, normally I pick shimmers. I only bought the pan, and a refill case cause I`m pretty sure I want more colors!

It was a nice day really apart from weird things happening :) I`ll just wait for the response of the department store how to handle this problem :S and I know for now not to ask advice in the MAC stores haha. Ooow and buying the matt Koh polish...reminded me I own 4 matts by diferent brands, I think I`ll have a blogsale soon lolsz

Koh

I recently made up my mind about ending a subscription on a fashion magazine, must have had it going on for about 5 years or so :S It changed too much during the days and all I was reading about were so called high fashion celeb parties in the Netherlands :S with their fashionistas blablabla...just girls who seem to have had a cameo or 2 in a dutch tv series and now they can claim their rights on the titles of society chicks :S....booooringgg.

So I made a couple of trip to the magazine vendors and browsed a bit through other magazines and Red caught my eye. If you read the title, which says 'for the best things in life' , and browse it a bit, it`s way more into my interest. Didn`t want to subscribe right away, cause well let`s be fair...the gift they`ll give you does the trick as well and I`m always willing to wait a couple of months till they have the right thing. But!!! I didn`t had to :) Cause the gift they had at the time I was searching the subscription-page was amazing weewooo.

A nice set of products from Koh. I mentioned this brand earlier. It`s a dutch brand, has the same owner as Herome products. This set contained; a red nailpolish ( ofc! ), a colour booster polish, wipe it away polish ( which is really just an apply to your nail...wait a couple of seconds...and wipe the color off :) So no more cottons + polish removers, I`m very exciting to try this out ) and an essential hand nourisher with spf15. together the set would have cost about 70euros at least, and the subscription was about 35euros for a year...and I like this magazine!!  :)

Koh - Baby Grey

This is my first polish from Koh and I think he will get some friends soon ;) Koh is originally from Herome, which is a dutch brand. It`s being sold in Amsterdam at the Bijenkorf in a flag-ship store and in at Douglas all over the Netherlands, as far as I know but correct me if I`m wrong ofc. Koh is a very delicate line of 120 different colors  from sheers to shimmers, to cremes and even holos. Koh-cosmetics has a website, but only the dutch version has an online-shop. Polishes are being sold for 14,95euros each, 10ml. I strongly suggest to watch the colors rl cause some just don`t apear good on photo`s :S ooww and good thing to know, they pack each polish in an individual cute box :)

I bought this color cause it just called me from the rack really :) It`s called Baby Grey nr 229 and as I understood it`s from their latest new selection with other "baby" /soft/pastel colors. Amongst them there is a yellow, beige, pink, blue and a nude.

I love this color for the little shimmer/glitters in it, they`re pink and makes the grey look really cute!! I`n the picture I wear 2 layers without a base-coat, but I did apply SecheVite afterwards. I had fake nails before...type; extreme too long and this cute color didn`t really look good on it, I love it on my short nails :)
