cheap shopping!!

Sometimes you face cheap-shopping days and since they don't appear that often you should really enjoy them ;) By cheap-shopping I mean use discounts wisely or even some gift certificates...

I started at Douglas, cause they had a special offer from Herôme. If you would spend €8 on any Herôme products you coud pick out a free gift out of 3 things. I bought a new nail hardener cause my own was already started running out. The package I picked had a free glassfile worth €9,95 and I got to pick my free gift, I picked out Exit Damaged Nails Serum (an oil based product) worth €12,50.

I went to the Bodyshop cause I was there earlier that week but I couldn't find anything suitable...I became a member (for a year) which costs a membership of €10, but with the card they provide you they give a 10% discount on items you buy that year, and every €20 you spend you get points...depending on the amount of points you've saved up you can get a pressent yay!! AAaannd you can pick something out worth €10 (or more but get the €10 discount) in the month of your bday. Which for me is September. I picked out their BBcream nr 2, which I ended up paying €0,35 for ;) Not using it yet as I just started one of my Asian BBcreams.

Then I went to Etos cause I had a €15 bday giftcertificate...and I knew they had a special discount on all make-up brands. Buy 2 get 25% discount. Which I was happy about, I already picked out 2 items but I couldn't choose between them, and now I could buy them both paying a small amount extra. I picked out Maybelline Color Tattoo On and on Bronze nr 35 and Maybelline popstick Crystal Pink  nr 040. I ended up paying €1,10 extra.

I did a little Primark shopping as well and was getting pretty exhausted :S So I just took the train back home....finding in my mail...a little gift from Maybelline..yay. I didn't thought I would win, but I joined in on a FaceBook competition and I won Color Tattoo Immortal Charcoal nr 55.

A week earlier I received this package from Koh (from another FaceBook competition);

I received my favorite color Funky! along with a mini moisturiser, a mini polish remover, long lasting basecoat and a sheet with stickers with their entire collection. The sheet can be used to create your own wishlist so your partner, friends or familie can easily go to the shop pick up your favorite colors :)

The Revlon colorburst Lip butters in the first picture...they don't actually count to the cheapshopping day...I bought them at Evulbay.

As you can see I piked out Berry Smoothie and Sweet Tart.....and I love em!!! They glide onto your lips, give a nice feeling all day and the pigmentation is just enough. Somewhere between a lipgloss and a lipstick...butter is the perfect word :)

Worst mani ever hahaha

Last weekend the hubby and I went for a little shopping to Amsterdam again. Actually he needed some clothes shopping and I ofc don`t really mind to tag along. I love A`dam!! The fact that I was there not even a month ago, spending my money on Koh, Lush and more beauty products :) This time I only bought 2 new eye shadow palettes from MAC, soap and shampoo bar from Lush and a jeans at H&M.

As being a member of Douglas I receive their monthly magazine. It`s always filled with their so called bargains, new products, new ideas and a few coupons as well. Mostly for some samples of perfumes. This time it had a coupon inlcuded which would give you a little consult of hand and nail treament from Herome, and you would be rewarded with a free polish...FREE...I love that ;)

The first Douglas-shop I set my eyes on we just had to enter. Lady who helped me was extremely friendly...yet I wonder if she knew what she was doing. It was day 3 of the 4 days available for using the coupon, so the choise of polishes was quite limited to my opinion. I do wodner if they even had a wider range available, casue the look of the bottles didn`t match the one I already own. I picked out a nice subtle color with a little shimmer in it. I thought it would be perfect as a base for some heavy Konadaction or perhaps if I would be fed up with it I can use it for some frankening. So the sweet lady began her routine...filing nails..aargghh way to short :S..massage with handcream, cuticle oil, then the basecoat...I would always clean up my nails from greasyness before I apply any polish, but hey it was a free manicure and I thought she would know what to do. After the basecoat, she`d applied "my"  polish and a topcoat to seal it all in :) Which all resulted after 30minutes f leaving the shop into this;

Look at all the bubbles :S It didn`t dry at all, by the time I bought some nice things at Lush and had to reach for my wallet and stuff it was all ruined :S But I couldn`t tell her she was doing it all wrong, cause she was so sweet and really took the time for me. The color is 82 Cracasas btw.

MAC pigment shadows

Yes this is me trying to experiment with pigments...  :) Too bad I couldn`t capture the sexy pinkness of Kitschmas which I tried to spread all over my eye, and I used Deep Blue green as a thick eyeliner. Both pigments were used with Pixie eye color sealer, which I think is a great product!! Not too watery and not too oily, perfect! And yes...I use this amount of mascara each day :S Tons and tons, but I like it haha. To keep my brows a wee bit in shape I used Herome - Brow Gel in a slight light brown color otherwise it will make it all too dark.

So it`s just too bad the right colors weren`t really captured :S I`ll try it with different colors next time ;)

stamping with Herome plates

Essence - Forever Mine stamped with one of teh "flower" collection/set from herome with Konads white. I used a Claire`s striper in silver to color the inner dot of the flowers...can hardly see it. Topped it with Seche ofc. For some reason Martje and Konad color don`t work very well....I always wait a little before using a topcoat, yet still the colors get a little runny :S A well more excercise!! None the less I like this combo :)

Herome image-plates

Yay I received my Herome package, was quite a fast delivery. Only after ordering and paying it took about 2 days, but then again it`s a dutch company so why should it take ages ;)

I came acros these plates by coinsidence really. Wanted to get some more info on their website about the W.I.C. colors and then I hit the webshop and saw they had a total different line; W.I.C. graffiti NailArt. It includes the same small bottles as their polishes, only these brushes are like liners and there are less colors available. They sell starting kits with 1 bottle of nailart polish with a scraper, stamper and a plate or bigger sets. I wasn`t interested in the polishes...weird huh ;)...so I went to the plate sets. There are 4 sets available and I bought 3 of em. First picture you see is Fancy-set, second picture is flower-set and third picture is Tip-set...which i can`t use yet since my nails are extremely short. Forth available set is called Say it!..which has numbers and letters, I`m not really into that. Had to try the set immediatly ofc!!!

  • started with Sally Hansen base-coat
  • 2 layers of Catrice-Let`s Talk About Berrie! 080
  • for stamping used Gosh-silver 555
  • toped it with SecheVite :)
For the stamping I used first plate of the first photo, the little splashy thingy, and I was having quite fun so I didn`t really care the stamping wasn`t in the same positioning on each nail :)

Oeh and prices...I payed 7,50euros for each set so a total of  22,50euros. ( And each set comes in a cute silver box ) No delivery costs since it was more then 15euros. I haven`t seen these in shops, only Heroms eshop.

W.I.C. (Herome) - Casablanca

Another color by Herome, only this one is from their W.I.C. collection, which stands for World Inspired Colors. My color is named Casablanca nr110, I didn`t pick it by name, just purely by color. It`s a soft lilac/mauve with shimmers. In the picture I`m wearing 2 layers without a base-coat, but topped it with SecheVite. It`s a very sheer color, but I like the softness of it.Just like the Koh one, it`s a sweet soft color.

W.I.C. collection has 79 different colors, all named by cities around the world. just as Koh colors vary from sheers, to shimmers, to cremes even duochromes. Can`t judge colors by pictures or even the website W.I.C. colors, have to see them rl really. Available mostly in Douglas shops around the Netherlands, but also in some retail shops. Even 1 in my town ;) weewooo.  The costs per bottle vary from 7,50euros to 7,95euros which I think is odd but okay. botles are 7ml. Dries fast, small cute bottle. I think it`s worth it, for me this is a quality product ( I own different Herome products and love em all).

Koh - Baby Grey

This is my first polish from Koh and I think he will get some friends soon ;) Koh is originally from Herome, which is a dutch brand. It`s being sold in Amsterdam at the Bijenkorf in a flag-ship store and in at Douglas all over the Netherlands, as far as I know but correct me if I`m wrong ofc. Koh is a very delicate line of 120 different colors  from sheers to shimmers, to cremes and even holos. Koh-cosmetics has a website, but only the dutch version has an online-shop. Polishes are being sold for 14,95euros each, 10ml. I strongly suggest to watch the colors rl cause some just don`t apear good on photo`s :S ooww and good thing to know, they pack each polish in an individual cute box :)

I bought this color cause it just called me from the rack really :) It`s called Baby Grey nr 229 and as I understood it`s from their latest new selection with other "baby" /soft/pastel colors. Amongst them there is a yellow, beige, pink, blue and a nude.

I love this color for the little shimmer/glitters in it, they`re pink and makes the grey look really cute!! I`n the picture I wear 2 layers without a base-coat, but I did apply SecheVite afterwards. I had fake nails before...type; extreme too long and this cute color didn`t really look good on it, I love it on my short nails :)
