back with polish on my fingorsz

Wow...an entire month without any posts, I should really stop taking breaks so long haha.

For the entire month we've been busy redoing our attic and cleaning out the entire house. Since we moved in we used the attic as an extended storage space and only stuffed it with boxes or items we perhaps want to sell on Evulbay. But with the visit of our Uk friends, we had plenty of time to finally sort things through and really redo the place. So each evening after work and even during the weekend it was all about cleaning, throwing stuff away/drive to the citydump, and paint. Which meant for me extremely dry skin on body and hands, not to even mention my nails....oow wow they have suffered so much :S

During this month I went to Amsterdam, yes again :), with my colleague to a certain Vichy/LaRoche Posay sunseminar...but not without some shopping as we both had the day of and the seminar started after diner. I finally picked up my 3 eyeshadows at Inglot.

Now this was very hard for me to do as I always go for pinks and purples, I sooo wanted something different and googled my way for swatches. 44 (shine), 419 (pearl) and 444 (pearl), but one them is not the color I picked out, I wanted it to be moe with a hint of blueish but it was sold out so picked out a different one. Together they look amazing...but since green is new to me I still have to "play" with it more to create my own look :)

And yaaay, no more heavy cleaning or painting so it was time to do something to my hands :S I have them a nice treatment with a handsoak with Koh products, filed them down, erased the extreme excessive cuticles and painted them in my newly bought Essie polish. Yes you read that, Essie...my silly country started selling Essie at the Etos-shops and they were on a discount atm. I have bought an Essie polish on my NY trip and euhm...how shall I say this..it was super cheap/normal pricedd. But when some brands hit this shore and being sold out here prices almost double up or in some cases triple up and I aks myself why??? But I love the colors soooo muuchh and it's good quality, and I always say; I dont smoke, so I have "spare" money to spend (no offence on smokers, but that's just my way of approvel to spend money hahaha).

I ended up buying 2 bottles of Essie, Dive Bar and Smokin Hot.

And I luuuub em :)

Sooo what did I miss this month?! What have you been up to??

This Catrice LE was available last week in my local Kruitvat...but it`s a good thing I took em all cause as usual...it's all sold out now :S Boehoee, and they have a wonderful sale buy 1 get 1 free, and they don't stock up :)

1 Forbidden Apple
2 Lavevenderlicious
3 Wonderland Green Card
4 Miracle Heaven

I'm showing you nr 3 Wonderland Green Card. In the picture I`m actually having 1 layer sandwiched between a bc and tc, and it looked very good!! Tbh a second layer of color wouldn't be necessary.

It`s a fresh bright green, which I'll be wearinga lot I think! Would love to try out some stamping on it....and with it!

Essence - I love Berlin + Award :)

The first 2 polishes from Essene LE - I love Berlin. In photo 1 you can see Love This City, a somewhat corally pink which structure was extremely thin, I`m wearing bc, 3 layers and a tc in the picture. The second photo I`m wearing I`m a Berliner, bc,2 layers and a tc. Lovely grassy green color. Would love to use it to stamp on in springtime I think :)

I`ll try make some photos of the other 3 colors from this LE...I do like the colors, yet I have no clue why it was sold in winter :S Not very festive colors to my opinion, I would rather see them in spring indeed!

I was awared...again :) Both Katherine and Jessica gave me the award, isn`t that sweet!!!

I was already given the award and mentioned 7 things about me, and picked out 15 lovely bloggers....I will tell you 7 different things...but tbh not picking another 15. If you feel like rewarding yourself or tell some nice "7" things about yourself, feel free to ofc!! It's always nice to learn and see a different view from bloggers :)

1.Though I am completely dutch, not any foreign relatives whatsoever...my english is pretty scarry :S Not my typing and spelling, which is terrible cause I have a slight form of dyslexia. But my prenounciation of words is just....english english. I have no idea where it came from, I did grow up watching lots of english shows and we listened to music quite a lot as well. When we have foreigners in the pharmacy they do always ask where I`m from :S

2. I play WOW...a lot, for almost 6 years now. When I create a character I always am very careful with picking out a name. Usually my toons get an ancient greek name with a nice meaning. My main character is Callysto (former warrior is Kallisto) her name derives from a story about a muse of Zeus who was pregnant of him, Hera did not aprove of this love and abandoned her from this world. She was pointed out to become a starsign...Big bear (her son small bear). And as I am a tank I liked the bear story a lot ;) her name also means "most beautiful", and she is a hot chick ;) Other names would be Aggelika, Phaidra, Philene, Philon, Luckybuttons (after one of the cats)  and Wizzypixie (yes the goblin just had to have a weird name).

3. I had to put a cat to sleep 6 years ago. His name was Tommy ( Tompouce) he was my cat as I picked him out when my husband and I moved in together in our apartment. He already had a cat and I wnated one of my own as well. Looking back at that time he always had small injuries. When playing quite rough he fell of a stool and hurt his leg, sometimes he had some abdomen problems. he was only 3 years old when he woke us up in the night with his screaming. We could see he was scared, and he was trying to crawl towards us. Calling the vet we could immediatly come, and there was nothing left to do. His back paws were already getting cold, which means a blocking of his veins. Best was to put him asleep. Both my husband and I cried the entire weekend, we were in such grief casue we weren't "ready" with Tommy at all. We had to say goodbye in 15minutes or less....I hope next time one of our cats will pass away it will be of old age. I tend to spoil our little ones as often as I can now and enjoy them as much as I can.

4. If my husband would agree with me...we would move!!! I would love to experience living in UK. We have visited friends of ours with my bday trip in September last year and I loved it soo much. I wouldnt have a clue how it would be to find a job there or even a house, but we`ll manage. But this will be sort a dream never comming true as he doesn`t want to take the risk...which it totally understandable ofc...but still I would love to ;)

5. I`m addicted to hightech stuff. I don`t own an Iphone or Ipad, only casue I have acces to internet at home and at work...and during my trip to work I can`t even use either of those devices since I'm cycling :S But I would loooove to own one. We have quite some tech equipment in our home. We both have our own computer with multi screens, which makes blogging quite easy when I`m playing a game ;) From every televsion in the house we have acces to the main computer for downloaded movies or music. I like this way of living, but my mum doesn`t...it`s too much for her haha.

6. We recently bought a car, 4th of January, cause we had the time and money to pick one out. Before that we sold our car last year May cause the expenses were only getting higher and it was not worth it at all. I didn`t mind living without the car cause you can get quite inventive using public traffic. But now we own one again...life is sooo easy :) Getting huge amount of food shopping, going to my girls whenever I want to..And!! planning trips away weewoo. I did want a car which is reliable with a little space inside, cause I would really love to go camping in France or Italy, oh that would be a dream :) Just the 2 of use, 2-3 weeks hitting the road and enjoy the surroundings. We`re going to start small and organised a little trip to Bruxelles in March. Can`t wait till we go further with it ...

7. I`m scared of hights!!! I can`t even clean our front windows or paint a door just by standing on a ladder :S I get all dizzy and scared. now how stupid is that!! When we were in one of the highest buildings in Bangkok, the top of it had a rotating part...wwoooww that was terrible :S I even went rockclimbing inside ones and I almost got an astma attack cause I was afraid of the heights...sshhh don`t tell anyone though ;)

OPI + Nfu Oh

One of you followers wanted to see something green...well I must admit it can`t go any greener then this ;)

It`s 1 layer of OPI - Jade Is The New Black with 2 layers of Nfu Oh #56. I only recently bought OPI cause I liked the color, it was something else from the minty greens that I own, ooehh i love minty green :) , and indeed I thought it would look great in combination with this Nfu Oh which I bought this summer. Only wore the Nfu Oh over black or on its own...and tbh only on my toe nails. This combination works well for me, tbh I wouldn`t wear this OPI on its on. Stamping of covered in Nfu Oh :)

( oeh almost forgot, topped it off with Seche Vite ofc, I truely think Nfu Ohs dry rather slow :S )

IsaDora graffiti polish

Wooptiedooo :)

I tried some IsaDora polishes from my swap, and I love em!!

* I used Sally Hansen double duty as a base-coat
* 2 layers of IsaDora Vintage Mint 619
* 1 layer of  IsaDora graffiti Black tag 801 ( looks very funny when it starts to crackle )
* topped it with 1 layer of SecheVite

which resulted in this mani :) and I love it. I did read an article about the crackle effect wouldn`t work if you`d use a different brand underneath the graffiti polish...we`ll soon find out ;) For now I`m sticking with this combo for next few days and will try out the Masterpiece Pink 803 graffiti one when i get back from London!

Zoya Edyta

I received this color together with Kelly ( and some other polishes ) in my latest package. Still have to get used to it, looks very differnt on my nail then in the bottle. It`s clearly a dark green color to, yet in the bottle it`s either gold...or green... Nevertheless a great color, specially for fall :) It`s a rather complete color on it`s own, I wouldn`t Konad on it or even apply sparkling thingies :)

In the picture I`m wearing a Sally Hanson double duty base-coat, 2 thick layers of Edyta and topped it with SecheVite...sounds familiar right ;)

Channelesque + L8R G8R

Yay I had an awesome week...not only did my Herome plates arrive...my BundleMonster plates arrived as well, and this mornign I could pick up my package from eNailSupply. Will try out the new Zoya`s next week, but I had to try out Channelesque first and omg I love that color!! I ordered 2 bottles since I knew it`s a pain to get and I`d like to use the 2nd bottle for either swapping or one of the following give-aways, but applying the color made me wanna keep the other bottle as well haha.

I hope the pictures are okay, was already getting dark and I didn`t feel like walking downstairs for the light-box :S At least my weddingring looks great . If I`ll get too many complaints I`ll make some new photo`s, don`t worry!!

After applying Sally Hanson double-duty as a base-coat, I applyed 2 coats of Channelesque, and used image plate BM12 with L8R G8R from the OMG-collection ( both nailpolishes are from China Glaze ofc ). Topped it with SecheVite.

I like the way those holos really dance/play with the light, each angle gives a slight colorchange. I`d seen it with swatches from other bloggers and defo will try it more often :)

He`s going in circles...on my toes :)

Weewooo shiny toes :)

I received this polish with my Head2Toe order. It`s a soft green color, in the bottle it looks like it`s a glitter-polish. It glides very smooth onto the nails, I did use strong adhesion base-coat from CG first though, and dries up quite fast. After applying 3 coats I sealed it with Seche Vite....I received Seche Vite with the same order, only used it about 3 times and and I loooove it!! Polishes dry up soo much faster, really worth the money.

I can`t really say if this color, after applying 3 layers, is a glitter-polish or a holo. Tried to read some other bloggers reviews on it, some couldn`t come up with the exact as well.Sooo I`m letting it inbetween :) lovely color!

My new Essence polishes & Konad

Today I've recieved my new Konad imageplate nr 57, which I've order with Boozyshop a dutch online shop. ( Delivery was amazing fast ) I've seen so many manis with this plate I just had to have it, normally I'm not a sucker for animal prints, but this plate really drew my attention.

Earlier this week I had purchased 2 new polishes from Essence. 03 back to paradise which is a dark green with a hint of blue in it.At first I thought it was an extreme dark turquoise, but when applied it it's more dark green with blueish and 04 Fruit punch which is a creamy orange with slight shimmers in it. Both from the Return to Paradise line. I must admit, I didn't really like the colors when I only applied 1 layer, was very streaky so it has to be 2 or even 3 for a nice opaque color.

For this leopard mani...bare with me ;) it's only my first time use of the plate...I've applied the fruit punch in 2 layers, and used back to paradise with the plate. In mani swatches I saw people use a differnt color to fill up the little gaps the stamp will leave, so I thought it would be fun to do as well...I had better not ;) I used Essence nail art freestyle & tip painter in black and silver for it. Topped it with my favorite Sally Hansen double duty and that was it.

Since the main color was orange...and I needed a moisturising cream afterwards I searched through the cabinet and came across Rituals-touch of heaven. An ultra rich whipped body cream fragranced with sweet orange and cedar...makes an ultimate handcream. So now my hands don't look orange..they even smell orange....mmm
( next time I'll clean the excess polish better before taking photo's ;)  )

MNY (Maybelline New York)

By now you must have seen the fabulous WAH-nails. As I live no where near it, I was very eager to get my hands on some nice bright colors and try it out at home. (  That`s why I bought the China Glaze ink as well ;)  ) Sometimes I do my food shopping just acros he border with Germany, it`s only 40 minutes drive from here and they sell way more different stuff over there. Lot`s of bakking ingeredients I can`t get my hands on here, and they just have a wide range on herbs as well....all yummy. Just before I go I always check the website of a shop called DM, it`s more like the dutch shops called Etos or even Kruitvat, just to see what`s new or what`s for sale. I found out the where having a new line by Maybelline, called MNY. It`s really focused on young girlies. Prices had my atention as the nailpolishes were 2euros, lip-shimmers and glosses between 1,50 and 2 euros as well, they even have eyeshadows, blushes and eyeliners/kajal.

These are the 7 colors I took home, and 2 of them even came from an extra sale of 1 euro.

130; a white jelly
109A;  a light blue iridiscent
107A; a sugar pink iridiscent
753; a light green foil
761; a dark green shimmer
349; a bright red jelly
261; a fuchsia pearl

(I love to use the green colors as a base to the Nfu oh 56 flakies :) )
Already tried a little "pow"  ballon on my left big toe, lookes great...but then I went to bed and the sheets mixed it all up since it wasn't 100% dry :S  Too many layers...too little drieing time. Colors do look bright and I think it's worth 2 euros a bottle!

Nfu Oh

132 black black black :) jelly based, does need several layers since it can get very streaky.

51, flakie purple. nice on its own with 2 or 3 layers, or on a different purple base to spice it up a wee bit.

56, flakie green. just like 51, nice on its own or on top of a different green base.

cuticle remover....this is heaven!!! I got it after reading a blogpost of Michèle from Lacquerized and it's amazing. I dont want the credits, so you all visit her blog and read about it!!
