Latest haul..which has a happy ending ;)

This...is....the worst that can happen with shipped packages ;)

I wrote about it 2 posts earlier. I felt a little incomplete without this OPI - I'm all Ears, so I decided to replace it (I did get a refund for it by the company) and since it's no point to just let 1 bottle be shipped, a couple of it's friends were invited to come along as well ;)

The special edition OPI _Spotted I've already shown, as well as a combination of 2 Mini Mouse OPI's...and CG -  Pink Plumeria...

CG - Exotic Encounters, Adventure Red-Y, Kalahari Kiss

2 polishes from Orly's Dark Shadow collection; Decadesof Dysfunction (wich is actually a re-release of Pure Porcelain) and Mysterieus Curse.

Long wanted Barielle Elle's Spell..yay!!

Complete limited collection Cucuba by Catrice;
1.Sunny Side, 2.Reggeaton, 3.Salsa Cubana, 4.Havana Drum and 5.Take it Mint
tadaaaa I couldn't stay behind :) I was actually watching the website each day till these would be available to order.
Unlucky as I am1 bottle leaked a bit, hence the weird looking cap.

I've been wearing No plain Jane all week and it just started to peel at the edges, which is amazing!

I lub em :)

Have you seen this brush by Bourjois?! It's like 2 sided brush 1 end for dotting and the other for creating a french manicure. For a fun brush I thought it was a bit overpriced tbh...€6,95 if I can recall, but I got it with a discount of 25%...which is still plenty :) I haven't tried it yet, but I did find a blog, Pretty in the Desert, which has amazing tips/photo's by Bourjois!!

I'll finish today with a photo of some cupcakes which I made for my sweet sweet cousins first bday :) She's turning into such a cute little girl!!

nomnom banana and strawberry flavoured blue and purple cupcakes.

my past 1,5 months..

 Helloooo

so I was a little abscent :) and things happend as live just goes on and on and on....

I'll do a quick photoshoot of the past 1,5 months;

We've had some extreme fruits-of-the-region in our fridge for a while. lot's of strawberries, cherries and raspberries. Actually it was way too much as we ended up making smoothies with the raspberries cause we've had them for a while they already went squishy in their tiny cardboard boxes.

I've planted 4 different kind of seeds and 3 came out which are; basil, peppers and tomatoes. I wonder when the plants will give me their fruits s the weather is terrrrible here atm, only raining. I actually don't dare to put the plants outside now cause I'm afraid they'll get too much water/rain and that will just ruin all the "hard" work. So I'll just spoil them now inside the house and we'll just see how it'll go.

I baked cakes....and this is one of them. that same day I bought a new silicon mold for the bird/cherryblossom tree. Don't know how that would be for you, but when I buy something I immediatly wanna try it out. it's no fancy cake it's just 2layer spongecake with a cherry flavoured extremely purple colored icing nomnomnom. cause it was such a light snack it was gone in a couple of days :)

On to the polishes woooop
In this picture I finally try sort of a half moon manicure. The black polish is Illamasqua - Scorn, with Sephora by OPI - Shiny Dancer and topped it with Seche Vite...I love the blueish metallic look of Shiny Dancer and Scorn is one of the best blacks to work with...specially since it's originale a matte one.
 My favorite neonish pink/coral!!!!

China Glaze - Pink Plumera.

I was eager to pick out a pink colored from CG latest neon colors but it was soooo hard. I watched so many swatches and I decided on Pink Plumera and i ahven't regreted it at all!!! i love, it would look even better on a taned skin, but on pale it works out well :)
I've been waiting for this collection to be available for a while. I love pinks (and purples...) and i knew I had to have all 4 of teh OPI - Mini Mouse polishes...unfortunatly during the trip to my house 1 of the 4 bottles exploded and made a complete mess of the entire package, but I'll just re-order it cause i want them complete :)

I'm wearing If you Moust, you Moust with Nothin' Mouse about it, topped with Seche Vite.

This is actually the most amazing polish ever made!!!  Not the blue one but the black ;)
I'm wearing China Glaze - Techno Tael in 2 coats and topped it with....OPI - Spotted yessss

My special french friend :) has arranged a bottle for me during a tiny swap, big thnx to her mom, and i'm in love with it. I try not to use it too much, as I don't want to run out of it.
I'm still very into crackle polishes...no idea why?! But this one is just...special :)

Well that was kind of a fast forward view, I'm off to do my nails!!! Ooow I should really show my uber stash of swap goods from MUA. the pile is getting bigger and bigger :)

uber cupcakes & China Glaze Halloweeeeeen goodies :)

Don't you love cupcakes!! The come in various shapes, sizes, colors, tastes etc etc. I was lucky enough to taste some amazing ones during our NY trip. Even though I will never ever bake any that will match the quality of bakerys cupcakes. But I always love to try out new stuff!!

This was the first time I made ganache (a mix of chocolate, butter and cream) and I will defo make it more often, nomnom it tasted just great! After a night in the fridge it looked all perfect as well.

The soft lilacs have an icing with cream cheese..which was somewhat thin, but tasted so sweet!! I love adding edible glitsorz :)

ooeehhh and!!! I HAD to buy these polishes, they`re just unpacked, haven`t even opened a bottle!! China Glaze's 2011 halloween collection wooop.

It's Alive, Haunting, Black Mesh (crackle), Near Dark, Crimson, Gouish Glow (glow in the dark), Fast Forward Top Coat (amazing product!!)

I`ve got a week off from work, which is purely relaxing, celebrate my bday on 1st of September by shopping with my friend in Antwerp, and paint my nails!! I`m pretty sure these polishes will pass as well. But first I have some beauties on my desk which I gained from sweet swaps ;)

Metallic Crackle Glaze!!

A while ago I had an awsome swpa with Carla and she helped me get some of teh lovely Metallic Crackle Glazes from China Glaze. I had been following them a bit on other peoples blogs, but the actually release took such a long time with my "regular" online shops and I reaallly wanted them. Didn`t want to miss out on these pretties!!

I picked out the following 3;

Haute Metal, a pinky metal

Latticed Lilac, purple/lilac toned metal

Oxidized Aqua, a blue/green metal

All crackles have a black Nfu Oh polish as "basecoat" and none have a tc. I looove them!! I think I love these metal ones even more then regular crackles. My colleague even wants me to get Platinum pives (and Crushed Candy) now ;)

I lub layering!!

I lub lub lub it! When I received my CND polishes I went nuts, so many new discoveries of  PB4L ( Polish Buddies 4 Life...yes I`ve invented this word myself ;) ) were created by just layering polishes on top of each other...and then all the cool crackles came and the sherbets etc etc...and my CND got all dusty in the Helmer till Jette woke me up haha.

Meanwhile I received 2 gorgeous polishes from swaps and both sweeties mentioned "this polish looks awsome layerd over black", then I was like whaaa...gotta try it out :)

First I`ll show you the uber swaps!

Lovely DragonRhia sent me ;

 a franken named Pizzaz, China Glaze crackle - Concrete, Wet n Wild - Grey's Anatomy, Hard Candy - Beetle & Sky

Lovely Rebecca sent me;

Sally H. - Purple Pizzazz, Concrete & Byte, Revlon - Modern Grace, Milani - Purple Gleam

Woop!! Now the layering ;) I`ve used my black polish, Nfu Oh 132, as a base coat and layered Sally H. -byte and Wet n Wild - Grey's Anatomy on seperate fingers and I lub it!!! Thnx for the tip sweeties.

WHat did I learn from these swaps?! Always listen to other people ;)

What I bought in NY :)

Hmm where shall I start :)

I bought... 2 pairs of Uggs, 1 pair of Ugg insoles, 2 Levis jeans, 1 GAP jeans, 2 GAP sweaters, 3 Juicy Couture shirts, 1 House shirt, couple of headbands from Ricky's NY (can`t remember the brand, I had to cut off all tags :S ) Anna Sui bag, Anna Sui nail polish( 307...I totally forgot to bring my wishlist grr ), UD Naked palette, UD eye primer ( golden shimer ), MAC mineral blush, MAC blush brush, L`oreal souffle fond de teint ( can`t get those here yet! ), special eye liner brush, Magnolia Bakery cookbook, StarBucks coffee mug, StarBucks mocha coffee sticks andd normally I would buy a nice perfume to end a trip. Something that reminds me of the city. But since I had a terrible cold/couldn`t smell anything...and I had the strong desire to buy a pair of earstuds at tifanny...the earstuds won. Teeny tiny little silver bowshaped.

Is this all?! no not yet...polishes still!!

Seche Rebuild & Recondition...these were actually free at Slly Beauty as I purchased 4 bottles of China Glaze :) Sally Hansen crackle overcoat Vintage Violet, CG Senorita Bonita, Cha cha cha, Secret Peri-Wink-Le, Crushed Candy ( crackle yay! ), OPI suede Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow, matte Alpine snow ( finally I can make some nice french manicures ), La Paz-Itively Hot, Spark de triomphe, Zoya Marley, Crystal, Dannii, Sally Hansen HD DVD, 2x Seche Vite ( they were on sale at SB ), Out the Door Northern Lights holo topcoat, SOPI Who Let the Dorks Out? Am I satisfied with my shoppingspree?! I`ll be honoust...no..in a city like that, its never enough ;) We had an amazing time, and I`m very very happy with what I bought. Everything still needs to be used and tried ofc, but some moments...I just think...what if...and oeh I should have... ;)

minty minty ;)

I`m already in looove with this color. Usually I`m more of a pink/lilac/purple girl, the more glitters the better as well, but for some reason I have a weak for minty colors as well. This OPI -Damone Roberts 1968...is amazing!!! Perfect polish, 2 thin layers was all it needed :)

Just to show you my favorite minties I`ve used China Glaze - For Audrey (is it a green...or is it a blue..for me it`s a minty), Sinful Colors - Mint Apple, Barry M - Mint Green and ofc the lovely OPI one. Only Mint Apple has a slight shimmer, rest are cremes. Only a basecoat, 2 layers of each polish and a topcoat...hhmmm this actually looks funny. I wonder what they`ll say at work tomorrow ;)

Cupcake nails :)

I was going through a little Google search on Cupcake-nails cause I`ve seen em on various blogs all over and I think they are the cutest of all manis!!! I had to try it out myself as well, and tbh...I think I did a pretty okay job for the first ( I deliberatly only showing my left hand ofc hahaha, other one was a mess!! ) Actually my entire hand were quite a parade. My thumbs were polishes with China Glace - Bad Kitty,  pinkies with CG - Mrs Claus, index fingers with CG - Encouragement , middle finger with CG - Inner beauty, ring fingers with FingerPaints - a Heart of Art. The figurines I`ve used 7 different nail art stripers from Essence; balck, silver, ocean breeze, flower power ( yellow ), metallics 4 ever ( metallic lilac ), pink! ( neon pink ) and purple magic ( duochrome purple/blue ) and I`ve used a white nail art pen by Claire's. Hhmm the longer I stare at them, the more they look like mushrooms :S I need more practise!!!

China Glaze - White Tea Extract, manicure soak

At first I was like huuuh...but then I was like aaahhh :)

I actually picked this one out with one of my latest online hauls, just to pick one last bottle to get 9 for a small flate envelope/package. Its just a watse if you don`t pick 9, and most bottles from China Glaze are 3-5dollars....and in my country it`s even double in euros :S After clicking the button of sending out the order I realised wow this could be an amazing product. Ofc I smear my hands during the day about 6 times with lotions and cremes, but how would my skin react to a nice little bath?! Since it came in without the packaging I needed to do a little search on the web how to use or even apply it. Indeed you can apply it with the brush directly onto your cuticles...leave it on for a couple of minutes and gently rinse it of. But if you use the little dripthingy you can use a small amount in a little handbath :)...or manicurebowl. Ooehh love the scent. It`s a fresh flowery scent, but not overwhelming at all.

I really had the feeling this was genle for my skin and nails. I did use a small amount of neutral body lotion as  I always do after getting in contact with water. But by the time it was evening my skin still felt so smooth, my cuticles looked so healthy, I`m not 100% what it should do... White Tea Extract massage Oil
Light textured oil rich in potent antioxidants that penetrates deep into the skin while brightening and revitalizing hands, nails and cuticles. ( according to Trans Design, talking about the massage oil ).... but to me it works :)

Catrice - Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans

One of 3 latest Catrice colors ( other would be; Run Forest Run! and Absolutly Chinchilly! ) and I think this is my favorite for now :) As you can see in the bottle it has a tiny shimmer...but I couldn`t find any on my nail :S Perhaps I need glasses hehe. I do love the color of blue, it`s a bit of a warm blue. I can use it with some Konad on it, or add some glitters ( in the photo below ) or just leave it plain this color. I did apply 2 coats, but if you work it well 1 layer would be sufficient as well, very thick pigmented substance. I like it!!

I added a little layer of China Glaze - Dollhouse to the blue Catrice, to spice it up a bit. I love the pink big glimmer and glamour all over my nails this way. And since they`re rather short it doesn`t look trashy at all :)

Off to some serious cookie-baking now!! I`m going to decorate cookies with a 2,5 year old in 3 hours :) ( she`s not mine btw )

MNY + CG leopard :)

3 layers of MNY 130 which is white, topped it with Seche vite first :S Boy-o-boy this was terrible :S haha The color was so sheer i had to apply rather thick layers, and the drying time took forever so I used Seche Vite before stamping on it :) Ofc my favorite plate from Konad, I`ve used China Glaze Poetic for teh design...and topped it of with Seche vite again, great product.

OPI Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not + CG Shooting Stars

Readers request; showing OPI`s Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not. This is actually my first OPI polish, I think I have it for about a year now and I still love the color. The best to discribe it to be a color between burgundy and purple, as I really think it has a slight redness in it. I luuub it :) Wearing 2 layers in the first picture.

As some hours pass bye...don`t you just wanna spice up a color?! I have that everytime!! No matter what brand or color, within 24 hours the original polish color needs a little "hint". In this case I used China Glaze - Shooting Stars, a great combination :)
